‘Life’s one long downhill struggle’ – follow the tale of legendary boozer, womaniser, gambler and writer Jeffrey Bernard in this revival of the celebrated Keith Waterhouse play.
Set entirely in his favourite pub, the Coach and Horses in London’s Soho (played brilliantly by Sloans, propped up between Argyle Street and Buchanan Lane in Glasgow), the play is a gloriously politically incorrect romp through the life and death of a writer described as a ‘modern day Pepys’ and ‘the Tony Hancock of Journalism.’
‘An entertaining voyage around a life of failure’ Daily Telegraph
‘A love letter to a long vanished world’ Guardian
and Gary Hurr as Jeffrey Bernard.
